Colourpop Ultra Satin Lips – The best Liquid Lip formula there is! (Review)
Who doesn’t love Colourpop cosmetics? They are super affordable (or were, thanks to the currency drop in Pakistan), have an amazing quality and a wide range of products. I love their aesthetic of being simple yet classy, focusing more on the product itself rather than going all fancy with the packaging and hiking up their prices.
Today we are going to talk about my most favorite liquid lipstick formula and trust me I use alot of lquid lipsticks but nothing has come even close to the Colourpop Ultra Satin Lips
COLOURPOP ULTRA SATIN LIPS :
A creamy, bold lipstick with a satin finish. This formula has the same high percentage of pigments as an Ultra Matte Lip but contains emollient ingredients for added moisture, keeping lips looking fresh and feeling super comfortable.
Though this lipstick is super long-wearing, it is not completely kiss-proof and does transfer.
My Experience :
The Colourpop Ultra Satin lips come in a standard clear plastic tube with silver accents. The cap is very much prone to smudges and the silver printing on the bottle definitely wears off with the usage. The applicator is a small doe foot kind, which picks up enough product to apply smoothly over both lips. The cap twist closes securely and definitely travel friendly.
The Ultra Satin Lips come with a unique pigment packed formula that doesn’t dry down completely matte on the lips but stays fairly longer than a lipstick or a gloss for that matter. The Ultra Satin have a mild vanilla smell which is very pleasant and fades away with time. The lipstick doesn’t dry down fast so it gives better control over application and in case of mistake, its very easy to correct it.
The ultra satin lips glides on smoothly over the lips without being streaky because it is very pigmented and opaque. If you want to intensify the lip color you can easily go over the first coat without making it lumpy or sticky.
Coming to the finish, the ultra satin remain true to their name and give a very soft satin finish upon drying completely. Since these aren’t matte, they are not transfer proof, hence you should be ready to leave stains over the tumblers as you sip your coffee. However, the staying time of these lipsticks is amazing given these transfers and are not matte, these stay for a good 6-7 hours on me with eating and drinking and still they fade away giving a very subtle tint to the lips.
All in all, this is one amazing formula that I completely enjoy every day. They shade range is amazing and there is a color for everyone for sure. I gravitate towards neutral tones hence all three of them are pretty nudes. Also these are so comfortable on the lips, making them look hydrated and plump unlike some matte formula that suck the life out of your lips, making them look parched and dry as a bone. I would definitely highly recommend that you try out this formula if you already haven’t.
